In the Name of God Amen I Robert Dafte of Hicklinge in the County of Nottingham yeoman being weake in body but of good and perfect memory praised be god therefore doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge

First I recommend my Soule into the hands of Almighty god hopeing to be Saved by the all sufficient merritts of Jesus Christ my onely Saviour and Redeemer and my body to be buried in Christian Buriall in the Church or Churchyard of Hicklinge aforesaid

And as concerning my lands and goods which itt hath pleased god to bestow of me I doe dispose of them in manner and forme following

First I give and bequeath unto Thomas Dafte my Sonne One messuage or Tennement and three Oxgangs of land with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging to him and his heires for ever

Furthermore I give unto my said Sonne Thomas Dafte twoe partes of all my goods and Chattels throughout whatsoever

Item I give to Anne Dafte my youngest Daughter threescore pounds to be paid att twoe severall tymes that is to say Forty pounds to be paid within twelve moneths next after my decease and twentye pounds to be paide any tyme within the tearme of twoe yeares next followinge the aforesaid twelve moneths

Alsoe my will is that if my Daughter Anne Dafte doe departe this life without issue that then the said porcon shall remain to my said Sonne Thomas Dafte

Item I give to Elizabeth Musson my eldest Daughter fortie shillings to bee paid to her within twelve moneths after my decease

Item I give to Robert Dafte my kinsman Sonne of John Dafte one Ewe Sheepe

Item I give to Thomas Dafte my Kinsman one Ewe Sheepe

Item I give to John Dafte his brother one Ewe Sheepe

Item I give to William Dafte the youngest brother one Ewe Sheepe

Item I give unto Ellynor Dafte my loveing wife after these porcons and legacies and funerall charges discharged the remainder or third parte of all my goods and Chattells whatsoever to her own proper use

And furthermore I doe make, ordeine, constitute and appointe Thomas Dafte my Sonne Executor of this my last will and testament

I wittnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the eight and twentieth day of January in the yeare of our Lord God One Thousand Sixe hundred and fifty

This will was proved in comon forme att Westminster the sixth day of the moneth of September in the yeare of our Lord God One Thousand Sixe hundred fifty and three before the Judges for probate of wills and grauntinge Administracons according to an Act of Parliament instituted an Act for probate of Wills and graunteing Administracons by the Oath of Thomas Dafte the naturall and lawfull Sonne of the said Deceased and sole executor in the said will named To whome was comitted Adminitracon of all and singuler the goods, chattells and debts of the said deceased hee being first Sworne by vertue of a Comission truly to administer the same according to Lawe
