In the Name of God Amen I Hannah Daft of Hickling in the County of Nottingham Widow being in Perfect health And of Sound Mind Memory and Understanding But Considering the Uncertainty of this life Do make and Ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

First of all I Give my Soul to Almighty God who gave it And my Body I Commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the Discretion of my Executrixes hereinafter named And as for my Worldly Estate which hath pleased God to bless me with by way of Accumulation Since the decease of my late Husband John Daft I give and dispose thereof as follows

Whereas It is my Will and desire and in order to prevent all or any disputes and controversies between my two Daughters Mary Parr and Ann Hopkinson my Executrixes hereinafter named and their respective Husbands for and concerning their Maintenance and Education since the Death of their father and my Said Husband John Daft I do hereby release and Discharge my said two Daughters Mary Parr and Ann Hopkinson and their Husbands Jarvis Parr and John Hopkinson of and from all and all manner of claim and demand whatsoever for and in respect of their or either of their Board Maintenance Education and bringing up of them the said Mary Parr and Ann Hopkinson ever Since the Death of their Said Father between whom I desire no controversy may or shall happen in and about the premises Therefore to preserve and keep Unity and love between them my Said two Daughters Mary Parr and Ann Hopkinson I do by this my Said Will Give and bequeath All and Singular my Goods Stock Cattle Chattells rights Credits and personal Estate of What kind nature or quality soever unto my said two Daughters Mary Parr and Ann Hopkinson (they paying my Debts and funerall Expences first thereout) to be Equally divided between them Share and Share alike

Whom I do hereby Nominate and Appoint full and Joint Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament Revoking all former and other Wills by me at any time hereto made

In Witness whereof I the said Hannah Daft the Testatrix have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Twenty Eighth day of August in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Eight

Mary Parr wife of Jarvis Parr & the Daughter One of the Joint Executors named in the within written Will of Hannah Daft late of Hickling in the County of Nottingham and Diocese of York Widow deceased was duly Sworn on the 15th Day of February 1800

Before me, Js Bingham Surrogate

A Declaration instead of an Inventory of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of Hannah Daft late of Hickling in the County of Nottingham and Diocese of York Widow deceased made by Mary Parr the Daughter and one of the Joint Executrixes of the last Will and Testament of the said deceased

The said Mary Parr hereby declared That to the best of her knowledge and belief the said deceased’s personal Estate and Effects would not at the time of her death exceed the Value of Ninety nine pounds
