Ann Cross of Ab Kettleby 1801 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Ann Cross of Ab Kettleby in the County of Leicester Widow

In the first place I will that all my just debts and Funeral expences be paid and discharged

I give and bequeath to my Son Richard Cross one Guinea

To my Son John Cross one Guinea

To my Son Thomas Cross one Guinea

To my Daughter Mary Jalland twenty five Pounds

To my Daughter Ann Pallet twenty five Pounds

To my Daughter Alice Taylor the Interest of twenty five Pounds to be paid her yearly and every year during the term of her natural Life after her decease I give the said Principal sum of twenty five Pounds to her surviving Children to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike

I give and bequeath to my Grandson William the son of the above mentioned Richard Cross the sum of Forty Pounds when he attains the full age of twenty four years

I give and bequeath to my Grand Children Mary Thomas Ann and Deborah Watts the sum of twenty five Pounds to be paid to them or the survivors of them when the youngest attains that full age of fourteen years

To my Grandsons Stephen and Thomas Freckingham the sum of twenty five Pounds to be equally divided between them whenever my Executor thinks fit not to exceed twelve months after my decease

I give and bequeath to Mr William Cross of Broughton Sulney in the County of Nottingham the sum of one Hundred Pounds In trust nevertheless to be by him put out to Interest upon good and eligible security or securities and the produce thereof pay to my Son Samuel Cross for two years and at the end of two years pay him the said Principal sum of one Hundred Pounds

All the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattels and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath to my Son William Cross whom I appoint full and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby Revoking all former Wills by me made and this only to be my last Will and Testament

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this sixteenth day of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety seven
