Jane Crafts of Nether Broughton 1812 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me Jane Crafts of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Widow made this thirteenth Day of January One thousand seven hundred and ninety nine

First I give and bequeath to my Daughter Jane Glover the sum of one shilling

Also I give and bequeath to my son John Crafts one shilling

Also I give and bequeath to my Daughter Ann Crafts my Deal Chest and my Box which usually stands upon it one third part of all my Linen, my best set of China my Corner Cupboard my two red Chairs and my Oval Table which usually stands in my Parlour to be delivered to her immediately after my decease

Also I give and bequeath to my said Daughter Ann Crafts the sum of twenty pounds

Also I give and bequeath to my Daughter Mary Crafts the sum of ten pounds

Also I give and devise all my Messuage or Tenement Orchard Out Buildings and all my real Estate whatsoever situate and being in Nether Broughton aforesaid and now in my own Occupation to my son William Crafts his Heirs and Assigns for ever

And I will and direct that my said Daughter Ann Crafts shall have an Habitation in my said dwelling House with my said son William Crafts so long as they both shall think convenient and agree to reside together in it But when and during the time they do not reside together I will and direct that my said son William Crafts shall pay my said Daughter Ann Crafts ten shillings a year which I hereby give her so long as she shall remain unmarried towards providing her an Habitation elsewhere

And all the Residue and Remainder of my Household Goods Chattels Cattle Ready Money and all other my personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath the same subject to the payment of all my just Debts my Funeral expences and the expences attending the Execution of this my last Will and Testament to my said son William Crafts whom I do hereby constitute and appoint whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said Jane Crafts have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and Seal the day and year first above written

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Jane Crafts as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have set our hands and Witnesses thereunto

Let probat be granted to William Crafts of Nether Broughton, Grazier, Sole Executor of the within written will, he being sworn to the due execution of it & made oath that the whole personal Estate of the Testator at the time of his [sic] death (date October 6th 1811) did not amount to the sum of Three hundred Pounds
