James Bingham Copestake of Ab Kettleby 1827 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me James Bingham Copestake of Ab Kettleby in the County of Leicester Clerk made this tenth day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty six as follows (that is to say)

I give and devise unto my Cousin [blank] Bingham the Eldest Son of my cousin The Reverend Thomas Bingham of Norbury in the County Derby Clerk and to his Heirs and Assigns for ever All my Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever situate lying and being within the Parishes of Orson and Baraston [Barnston?] in the County of Nottingham or either of them with their and every of their Appurtenances

Also I give and devise unto my Cousin [blank] Bingham the Youngest Son of my said cousin The Reverend Thomas Bingham and to his Heirs and Assigns for ever All my Messuages Lands Tenements and hereditaments whatsoever situate lying and being in the Counties of Leicester and Nottingham or either of them (not hereinbefore disposed of) and every of the Appurtenances

Also I give and bequeath unto Phoebe … … in the County of Nottingham Spinster one Annuity or Yearly Sum of eighty Pounds payable Quarterly the first payment thereof to begin and be made on the first quarterly day of Payment that shall happen after my decease (that is to say) the twenty fifth day of March the twenty fourth day of June the twenty ninth day of September and the twenty fifth day of December

Also I give to the Governors of the Leicester Infirmary for the time being the Sum of Seven hundred Pounds upon Trust to apply the Sum of Three hundred pounds part thereof for the general purposes of the said Infirmary the Sum of Two hundred pounds other Part thereof for the purposes of the Lunatic Asylum and the Sum of two hundred pounds remainder thereof for the purposes the Fever Institution there

Also I give to Trustees of the Nottingham Infirmary for the Time being the Sum of One thousand pounds for the purposes of that Institution

Also I give to the Governors for the time being of the Derby Infirmary the Sum of five hundred pounds for the benefit of that Institution

And as to all the Rest and Residue and Remainder of my Personal Estate of what nature or kind soever Subject nevertheless unto debts that I shall owe at the time of my decease my Funeral expences and the Charges of Proving this my Will I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my said Cousin the said Thomas Bingham Clerk and for his own use and benefit

And I do appoint him sole Executor of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made
