John Clay of Hickling 1838 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me John Clay of Hickling in the County of Nottingham Farmer
First I direct all my just Debts funeral and Testamentary Expences to be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease
I Give and Devise all my Closes Lands Hereditaments and Real Estate situate in Hickling aforesaid or elsewhere, And also my household Goods and Furniture Money and Securities for money and all other my Real and Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever in possession reversion remainder or expectancy Unto my beloved wife Jane Clay her heirs executors administrators and assigns for ever according to the nature of the said Estates
And I appoint my said wife Jane Clay sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and declaring void all former Wills by me made
In Witness whereof I the said Testator John Clay have hereunto set my hand and seal this Seventeenth day of April One thousand eight hundred and thirty

Jane Clay late of Hickling in the County of Nottingham but now of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Widow the Executrix in this Will named was duly sworn to the truth and faithful performance thereof as usual, and that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased do not amount in Value to the sum of Three Hundred pounds and that the deceased died on the 10th day of December last past
