In the name of god Amen

I William Chester of Harby in the County of Leicester yeoman sicke in body but well in mind and of perfect memorie, god be praysed for it doe make and ordeyne this my last will and testament in manner and forme following

Imprimis I bequeath my body to the earth it is made of and to be buried in the churchyard to Harbye and my soul which Christ hath redeemed to almightie god and my goods in this manner

Item I give unto my sonne William Chester sixe shillings to be payed unto him within the twelvemonths next after my decease

Ite to my daughter Katharine Markham five shillings to be payed unto her within twelve months after my decease

Ite to my daughter Jane Michell a bushell of seed Barley

Ite al the rest of my goods I give to Elizabeth my wife and to Elizabeth my Daughter whome I make joynt executrixes of this my last will and testament

Ite it is my mind my wife and daughter have that years rent at Schalford which is seaven pounds

Ite it is my mind that if Elizabeth my wife continue a widdow she shall possess and injoy my daughters part of the goods till  such tyme as she shalbe able to make her mother a lawfull discharge for the same but if my wife marye Nathaell Markham my sonne in law and William Blage of Colston Bassett in the Countie of Nottingham my wifes brother shall take care and look to my Daughters portion till such tyme as she shalbe able to looke to it her selfe

Item I give unto James Holmes twelve pence

Item to Richard Arden twelve pence

Item I ordeyne my brother in law William Blage and my sonne in law Nathaell Markham supervysors of this my last will and give to ether of them twelve pence

In the year of our lord 1640 the 14th of Jannarie was this Will and Testament made as aforewritten by William Chester
