This is the last Will and Testament of me William Caunt of Plungar in the County of Leicester Gentleman as follows

I devise unto my Son William Henry Caunt his heirs and assigns All those my four closes of land containing about forty one acres situate in the parish of Granby in the County of Nottingham now in his own occupation And also all my houses lands and hereditaments situate at and within the Parish of Plungar aforesaid and other the residue and remainder of my real estate whatsoever and wheresoever

I also give and bequeath unto my said Son William Henry Caunt his executors administrators and assigns all my household goods and furniture personal estate and effects of what nature or kind soever the same may be Subject nevertheless and I do hereby charge the said real and personal estate and effects with the payment of a legacy or sum of Seven hundred pounds each to my two daughters Harriett Wright and Mary Ann Chatwin and also with the payment of my just debts funerary and testamentary expenses

I appoint my said Son William Henry Caunt and my said two daughters Harriett Wright and Mary Ann Chatwin Executors or this my Will

In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand this first day of January 1950

Proved at London 2nd July 1851 before the Worshipful … Thomas Pratt Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of William Henry Caunt the Son one of the executors to whom administration was granted having been first sworn duly to administer Power reserved of making the life Grant to Harriett Wright Wife of Willm Wright and Mary Ann Chatwin Wife of Thomas Chatwin the Daughters the other executors when they shall apply for the same
