Thomas Caunt of Stathern 1801 Will

This is the Last Will and Testament of me Thomas Caunt of Stathern in the County of Leicester Grazier as follows

In the First place I Give and devise All my Messuages Lands Tenements Hereditaments and Real Estate whatsoever situate standing lying and being within the Parish and Lordship of Stathern aforesaid with the Appurtenances unto my Sister Alice Musson her heirs and Assigns To hold the same unto and to the use of my said Sister Alice Musson her heirs and Assigns for ever Subject nevertheless to such Mortgage Debt or Incumbrance as now affects the Estate

I Give unto my Brother Richard Caunt five shillings to be paid immediately after my decease

Also I Give unto my Nephew Thomas Goodwin my Niece Damsin Goodwin my Nephew George Goodwin my Niece Alice Hall my Nephew William Goodwin my Niece Elizabeth Goodwin my Niece Sarah Goodwin my Niece Mary Goodwin my Sister in Law Mary Chaddock and my Niece Frances Alderman the sum of Ten Pounds apiece which I will shall be paid to them respectively within twelve months next after my decease by my Executrix hereinafter named

Also I Give unto Ann Parnham Widow who now lives with me the like sum of Ten Pounds to be paid her within twelve Months next after my decease by my said Executrix

And subject to the payment of all my just Debts (except the said Mortgage Debt) the before mentioned Legacies and my Funeral Expences I Give and bequeath all my Household and other Goods Stock Cattle Chattles Rights Credits ready money Securities for money and all other my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever unto my said Sister Alice Musson whom I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint full and sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Caunt the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this Thirteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Thomas Caunt the Testator as and for his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other set our hands as Witnesses to the due Execution thereof
