This is the last Will and Testament of me Sarah Caunt of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Widow

I devise All my real Estate situate in the Parishes of Long Clawson aforesaid and Hose in the said County of Leicester Unto and to the use of Frederick Pern Newcome of Long Clawson aforesaid Gentleman and my Nephew John Musson of Grantham in the County of Lincoln Ropemaker their heirs executors and administrators respectively Upon trust that the said Frederick Pern Newcome and John Musson or the Survivor of them his heirs or assigns shall as soon as conveniently may be after my death sell the same

I bequeath all my personal Estate unto the said Frederick Pern Newcome and John Musson their executors and administrators Upon trust that the said Frederick Pern Newcome and John Musson or the Survivor of them his Executors or administrators shall call in sell and Convert into Money such part of my said personal Estate as shall not consist of Money and I declare that the said Frederick Pern Newcome and John Musson or the survivor of them his executors or administrators shall out of the Moneys to arise from the said sale of my said real Estate and from the calling in sale and conversion into Money of such part of my personal Estate as shall not consist of money and the money of which I shall be possessed of at my death pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and in the next place invest the sum of Three hundred and fifty pounds further part of the Trust Moneys and pay the Interest of the sum of One hundred and fifty pounds part thereof unto my Sister Ann Davis now living at Melbourne in Australia for and during the term of her natural life the first half yearly payment to be made at the expiration of six calendar Months next after my death and after the death of the said Ann Davis to divide the principal equally between her three Daughters

And as to the sum of Two hundred pounds to pay the Interest thereof unto William Caunt the Brother of my deceased Husband Thomas Caunt for and during the term of his natural life the first half yearly payment to be made at the expiration of six calendar Months next after my death and after the death of the said William Caunt to divide the principal equally between his four Children namely Robert Thomas Mary Ann Lines and Emma Shipman

And as to the residue of the said Trust Moneys Upon Trust to divide the same equally between and amongst my Nine Nephews and Nieces and Cousin hereinafter mentioned that is to say the five Children of my Brother Joseph Musson deceased who are now residing an Australia namely Richard Joseph William Mary Row and Fanny Priest the two Children of my Brother John Musson deceased namely William and the before mentioned John Joseph Blythe the Son of my Sister Mary Blythe deceased Mary Huckerby one of the Children of my Sister Elizabeth Smith and my Cousin Frances Stubbs of Hose aforesaid Widow and I direct that the whole of the said Legacies and sums of Money shall be paid at the expiration of twelve Calendar Months after my death or sooner if my said real Estate can be converted into Money by my Trustees

And I declare that the receipt of the said Frederick Pern Newcome and John Musson or the Survivor of them his heirs executors or administrators for the purchase Money or property sold or for any Moneys paid to them or him in pursuance hereof shall effectually discharge the purchaser or purchasers or other person or persons paying the same therefrom and from being concerned to see to the application thereof and I declare that if the said Frederick Pern Newcome shall act as Solicitor to my Estate he shall be entitled to be paid such costs charges fees and allowances for business done and time labour and trouble expended by him in relation to the trusts of my Will as he would be entitled to be paid if not being a Trustee or Executor of my Will he were employed as Solicitor to my Estate

And lastly I appoint the said Frederick Pern Newcome and John Musson joint Executors of this my Will

The Testatrix Sarah Caunt was late of Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Widow and died on the eighteenth day of December 1873 at Long Clawson.  Under £200.
