William Burrows of Wysall 1824 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Burrows of Wysall in the County of Nottingham Farmer

First I give and devise all and every my messuages lands tenements hereditaments and real estate lying and being in the parish of Ruddington in the said County of Nottingham unto my son John Burrows his heirs and assigns for ever Subject and chargeable nevertheless and I do subject and charge the same hereditaments and premises with the payment thereout by my said son John Burrows his heirs executors administrators or assigns of the sum of one thousand and one hundred pounds unto my son Robert Burrows his executors administrators or assigns which said sum of one thousand and one hundred pounds I will and direct shall be paid by my said son John Burrows his heirs executors administrators or assigns at the expiration of twenty four calendar months next after my decease and I further direct that no interest shall be paid or payable in respect of the said sum of one thousand and one hundred pounds unless default shall be made in payment thereof at the time hereinbefore appointed for payment of the same in which case lawful interest shall be payable in respect of the said sum of one thousand and one hundred pounds from the day whereon the same ought to have been paid and payment thereof is made

I give and bequeath unto my son James Burrows the legacy or sum of eight hundred pounds

I also give and bequeath unto my son George Burrows the legacy or sum of four hundred and fifteen Pounds

I also give and bequeath unto each of my daughters Ann Burrows and Dorothy Burrows the legacy or sum of six hundred pounds apiece

And I also give and bequeath unto each of my daughters Elizabeth Burrows and Catharine Burrows the legacy or sum of eight hundred pounds a piece

I also give and bequeath unto my son Richard Burrows the legacy or sum of one hundred and fifty Pounds and I also give and bequeath unto my son William Burrows the legacy or sum of two hundred pounds

All which several legacies I hereby will and direct shall be paid by my Executor hereinafter named at the expiration of twelve calendar months next after my decease together with lawful interest for the same from the day of my decease unto the same shall be respectively paid

And I give and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my moneys securities for money household furniture plate linen goods cattle crops on my farm chattels personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever together with the Lease of the farm and premises which I now occupy at Wysall aforesaid (subject nevertheless to the payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary expences and charges and the legacies by this my Will hereinbefore given and bequeathed) unto my son Robert Burrows his executors administrators and assigns

And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said son Robert Burrows sole Executor of this my Will and hereby revoke all former Wills by me made and I do declare this to be my last Will and Testament

In witness whereof I the said William Burrows the testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this fifteenth day of February in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one
