Frances Burroughs of Long Clawson 1771 Will

In the Name of God, amen I Frances Burroughs of Claxton otherwise Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Widow being sick in body but of Sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say

I give to my three Friends John Garton John Moore and Edward Moore all my goods Chattels and personal Estate of what nature or kind soever in Trust nevertheless for the uses herein after mentioned that is to Say

All my Linnens of all kinds whatsoever shall as soon as conveniently may be after my decease be Divided equally amongst my five Grandchildren herein after named share and share alike

Also all the rest of my goods and Chattels to and for the use of my Daughter in Law Ann Burroughs for and during the term of her natural Life and at or after the decease of her my said Daughter in Law my Will is that my said Trustees shall sell and dispose of them and place the Money arising from the sale thereof out at Interest on good Security for the use of my Grandchildren herein after named

I also give to the said John Garton John Moore and Edward Moore all my money out at Interest in Trust and for the uses hereafter named that is to say

First my Will is that they my said Trustees shall thereout pay or cause to be paid all my Just debts and funeral Expences and also to reimburse themselves all reasonable Expences arising from the Execution of this Trust and all the residue and remainder of the money to continue at Interest to and for the use of my Daughter in Law aforesaid for and during the term of her natural Life, and from and after Her decease (together with the money arising from the sale of my goods and Chattels before mentioned) to continue at Interest to and for the use of my Grandchildren Mary Lupton Sarah Lupton John Lupton Frances Lupton and Elizabeth Lupton to be divided equally amongst them share and Share alike to be paid to them when they Shall severally attain to the Age of Twenty one Years and if any of my said Grandchildren shall happen to die before they attain the age of Twenty one years then my will is that his her or their Share or Shares shall be equally divided amongst the Survivor or Survivors of them

I do hereby ordain and declare it to be my intention and Will that the aforenamed Trustees and Executors of this my Last Will and Testament shall not be accountable or obliged to make good any sum or Sums of Money which they are hereby entrusted with which shall be lost without any wilfull neglect committed by themselves nor shall one of my said Trustees be accountable for any Loss happening by the Wilful neglect or default of the other

And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint the said John Garton, John Moore and Edward Moore joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and disannulling all former Wills or Bequests &c by me heretofore made confirming this only for and as my Last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said Testatrix have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Tenth day of January One thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy One
