In the Name of God Amen I Margaret Bull of the Parish of  Grimstone in the County of Leicester Widow Being in Perfect Health And of Sound Mind Memory and Understanding and considering the uncertainty of this Life Do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following

In the first Place I give and Devise all that Close or inclos’d Ground with its Appurtenances and called by the Name of Cross Baulk lying and being in the inclos’d Liberties of Grimston aforesaid and containing four Acres and half a Rood or thereabouts (be the same more or less) and now in my own Possession unto my two Friends William Grahame and William Coleman both of Queniborough in the said County of Leicester Gentlemen and their Heirs and Assigns To have and to hold the same inclos’d Ground and Premises unto the said William Grahame and William Coleman their Heirs and Assigns upon such Trust and Confidence nevertheless, And to and for the several uses intents and purposes herein after mentioned (that is to say)

That to the intent that they the said William Grahame and William Coleman and the Survivor of them and the Heirs of such Survivor shall and may have take and receive the Rents and Profits of the said Inclosure and Premises and may and shall from time to time give and pay the same to and for the use and behoof of my Daughter Elizabeth Newton the Wife of Robert Newton and her Assigns Yearly and every Year for and during the Term of her Natural Life and to and for her Sole Separate and Peculiar Use whose receipt shall be their sufficient Discharge notwithstanding her Coverture without the intermeddling Contract or disposal of the said Robert Newton her Husband And without being subject to his Debts and Engagements and from and immediately after her Decease then to the use and behoof of her two Daughters Hellen Newton and Esther Newton and their Heirs and Assigns for ever to be equally divided between them Share and Share alike and to take and enjoy the same as Tenants in common and not as joint Tenants

And Also I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Esther Gamble Widow of the late Thomas Gamble the Sum of twenty Pounds to be paid her twelve Months after my Decease by my Executors hereinafter named together with a Bed Bedstead and all things pertaining thereto

And Lastly all and Singular the rest residue and remainder of my Goods, Stock, Cattle, Chattels Rights Credits and Personal Estate of what kind or nature soever (my Debts, Legacy and funeral Expences being first paid and discharged) I give and bequeath unto my said two Friends William Grahame and William Coleman their Executors Administrators and Assigns upon this further Trust and Confidence that they the said William Grahame and William Coleman and the Survivor of them and the Executors and Administrators of such Survivor Do and shall as soon as he and they conveniently can after my Decease dispose of the said Residue of my said Personal estate in the best manner they possibly can and after my said Debts Legacy and funeral Expences are paid and satisfied and the Sum of two Guineas apiece unto the said William Grahame and William Coleman as and for a Compensation for their trouble and care in the Execution of this my last Will and Testament Apply the Residue and Remainder of my Personal Estate to the Sole and peculiar Use and Profit of my said Daughter Elizabeth Newton (notwithstanding her Coverture) without the Contract or disposal of her Husband nor subject to his Debts

And I do hereby appoint my said two Friends William Grahame and William Coleman full and joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament Revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said Margaret Bull Testatrix have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this eighteenth Day of December the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy one

8th May 1775 William Coleman one of the within named Executors was then sworn to the Execution of the within written Will (the like Power being reserved to the within named William Graham the other Executor) before us
