William Brown of Nether Broughton 1800 Will

In the Name of God Amen, I William Brown of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Frame work knitter being weak and sick in Body but of a sound and well disposing Mind Memory and Understanding praised be God for the same Do make publish and Declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

First I Give and devise to my Wife Ann Brown all my Messuages Cottages Lands Tenements Meadow and Pasture Ground situate standing lying and being in Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester to hold unto her my said Wife Ann Brown during the Term of Natural Life and from and after her Decease I Give and Devise all the said Messuages Cottages Lands Tenements Meadow and Pasture Ground in Nether Broughton aforesaid Namely to William Brown George Brown and Thomas Brown Mary Graves the now Wife of William Graves Alice Brown and Tamar Brown to take and hold unto them the aforesaid Premises hereinbefore Devised as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants

And Lastly all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattles and Effects personal Estate of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever the same is or are I Give and bequeath to my said Wife Ann Brown whom I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint whole and Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament revoking all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made

In Witness whereof I the said Testator William Brown have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and Seal this twenty second day of October one thousand eight hundred

Signed Sealed published and Declared by the said Testator William Brown as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have Subscribed our Names as Witnesses thereto at the request of the said Testator in his presence and in the presence of each other

The words interlined and Cancelled was duly made before the Testator signed the same

Let probat be granted to Ann Brown sole Executrix she being sworn to the due execution of the within written will & also made oath that the whole personal Estate of the deceased at the time of his death did not amount in value to the sum of three hundred pounds
