John Brex of Nether Broughton 1851 Will

This is the last Will of me John Brex of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Cottager

I give and devise all that my Messuage or Tenement Paddock Garden and real Estate situate in Nether Broughton aforesaid to my Nephew John Mann his heirs and assigns for ever subject nevertheless to the payment of the sum of fifty Pounds which I owe to my housekeeper Isabella Jennings on a Note of hand

I give to my Nephews John Brex and Joseph Mann and my Niece Mary Herrick Five Pounds each the last Legacy to be paid on my Niece’s Attaining the age of twenty one years

Subject to the payment of the above legacies my other Debts funeral and testamentary expences I give and bequeath all my personal Estate and effects (except the five articles of household furniture hereafter mentioned) to my said Nephew John Mann

I give to my housekeeper Isabella Jennings my Clock and Spring Table the Tent Bed and all that belongs to it the Square deal Table and one large Chest

And I appoint the said John Mann Executor of this my Will

Witness my hand this 24th day of February 1851

John Main [sic] of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Cottager the Executor in this Will named was duly sworn to the Truth and faithful performance thereof as usual, and that the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the Sum of One Hundred pounds and that the deceased died on the fourth day of March instant
