Richard Bird of Saxelby 1726 Will and Inventory

Executrix sworn 22 April 1726

In the name of God Amen the Twenty Eight day of March 1726 According to the Computation of the Church of England I Richard Bird of Saxelby in the County of Rothley Grazier Being of perfect memory and Rememberance praised be God doe Make and ordaine this my Last will and Testament in manner and forme following

First I Bequeath my Soule in to the hands of Allmighty God my maker hopeing that through Meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only saviour and Redeemer to Receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and as for my body to be buried in Christian buriall att the discretion of my Executrix here after Nominated

Item I give unto my son John Bird one partiall of Land with all portinances there unto belonging Lying in the Liberties of Segerase feilds and my will is that he shall have it at the age of one & Twenty years

Item I give unto my Son John Bird the sume of six pound to be paid unto him at Twenty one years of age

Item I give unto my Daughter Elizabeth the sum of thirty pound to be paid unto her at Twenty one years of age

Item all the rest of my goods and chattells and parsnell Estate whatsoever I give unto Ann my wife upon condetion that shee shall pay all my debts and Legacies and fennerall charges and Make her my sole Executrix of this my Last will & Testament and utterly revoke all former wills that hath been by me Made
