Thomas Beeston of Long Clawson 1799 Will

This is the Last Will and Testament of me Thomas Beeson of Claxton otherwise Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Yeoman as follows

In the first place I give devise and bequeath all my Messuages or Tenements homesteads and Real Estate whatsoever situate standing and being in Claxton otherwise Long Clawson aforesaid and also all my household Goods other Goods Stock Cattle Chattles Rights Credits Ready Money Securities for Money and all other my Personal Estate of whatsoever nature or kind the same may be unto my two Relations Thomas Hawley of Shrewsbury in the County of Salop Grocer and John Hawley of Cause in the same County Farmer their heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns upon trust in the first place to pay thereout all my Just Debts and Funeral Expences and after payment thereof Upon this further Trust that they the said Thomas Hawley and John Hawley or the Survivor of them or the heirs Executors or Administrators of such Survivor do and shall Continue my monies personal Estate and premises out at Interest upon the present Securities or Call in and replace the same out again at Interest upon other good and Sufficient Security or Securities as to them or him shall seem meet and pay and apply the Interest Benefit and proceed thereof together with the Rents and Profits of my said Messuages homestead and Real Estates during the joint natural Lives of my Brother and Sister Samuel Beeston and Sarah Cow from time to time when and as the same shall become due and be received in the manner and proportions following (that is to say)

Two third parts thereof unto my said Brother Samuel Beeston and the remaining One third thereof unto my said Sister Sarah Cow for and towards their Maintenance and Support and after the Decease of either of them the said Samuel Beeston and Sarah Cow then upon Trust that they the said Thomas Hawley and John Hawley and the Survivor of them and the heirs Executors and Administrators of such Survivor shall and do from time to time and at all times during the then remainder of the natural Life of the Survivor of them the said Samuel Beeston and Sarah Cow pay and apply the Rents Issues Benefit and proceed of the whole of my said real and personal Estate and premises from time to time when and as the same shall become due and be received unto the Survivor of them the said Samuel Beeston and Sarah Cow for and towards his or her Maintenance and Support and from and immediately after the Decease of the Survivor of them the said Samuel Beeston and Sarah Cow then I give and Devise all that my Messuage or Tenement hereditaments and premises with the appurtenances situate and being in Claxton otherwise Long Clawson aforesaid and now in the Tenure of John Hand unto my Relation Mary Parr (the Daughter of Matthew Parr) and to her heirs and assigns for ever and from and immediately after the Decease of the Survivor of them the said Samuel Beeston and Sarah Cow I give and Devise all those two other Messuages and Tenements and Homestead Hereditaments and premises with their appurtenances situate in Claxton otherwise Long Clawson aforesaid and now in the Several Tenures or Occupations of John Green and Elizabeth Swain or one of them unto my Kinsman Thomas Beeston Grandson of my said Brother Samuel Beeston (and to his heirs and assigns for ever

Also I give and bequeath unto my said Relation Mary Parr the Sum of Seven Pounds and unto the Children of my Relation Mary Cupid already born the like Sum of Seven Pounds apiece

Also I give and bequeath unto the Children of my Relation Ann Glenn Deceased the like Sum of Seven Pounds apiece

Also I give and bequeath unto the Children of my Relation Elizabeth Warner already born the Like Sum of Seven Pounds apiece

Also I give and bequeath unto the Children of my Relation Sarah Merryman deceased (including One Child by Benjamin Warner her former Husband) the like Sum of Seven Pounds apiece

Also I give and bequeath unto the Children of my Relation Elizabeth Bentley already born the like Sum of Seven Pounds apiece and to the children of the said Thomas Hawley already born the like Sum of Seven Pounds apiece

Also I give and bequeath unto the Children of my Relation Sarah Hoalbrooke already born the like Sum of Seven Pounds apiece and to the Children of the said John Hawley already born the like Sum of Seven Pounds apiece

Also I give and bequeath unto the Children of my Relation Mary Cooke already born the like Sum of Seven Pounds apiece

Also I give and bequeath unto the Children of my Relation Rebecca Lacon the like Sum of Seven Pounds apiece and unto my Niece Mary Cow the like Sum of Seven Pounds all which said several Legacies I will shall be paid to my respective Legatees within six months next after the Decease of the Survivor of them the said Samuel Beeston and Sarah Cow

And Lastly all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattles Monies securities for Money and personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever (Subject to the Payment of my just Debts Funeral Expences and the several legacies or Sums of Money herein mentioned) I give and bequeath unto my said Relations Thomas Hawley and John Hawley to be equally divided between them from and immediately after the Decease of the Survivor of them my said Brother and Sister Samuel Beeston and Sarah Cow and I do hereby Nominate and appoint the said John Hawley and Thomas Hawley joint Executors of this my Last Will and Testament hereby Revoking and making void all former Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Beeson the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this tenth day of December in the year of Our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Ninety Eight

Signed Sealed Published and declared by the said Thomas Beeson the Testator as and for his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other set our hands as Witnesses to the due Execution thereof

This Will was proved at London the third Day of December in the Year of Our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Ninety Nine before the Right Honorable Sir William Wynne Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully Constituted by the Oaths of John Hawley and Thomas Hawley the Executors named in the said Will to whom Administration was granted of all and Singular the Goods Chattles and Credits of the deceased having been first sworn by Commission duly to Administer
