In the name of god Amen The Twainetye two daye of Apprill in the yeare of our lord God one thousand six hundered sixtye and nine I Thomas Beebee of Hicklinge in the Countye of Nottingham bacheler beinge feeble and weake in bodye but of perfect memorye & understandinge God bee blessed for the same doe the daye and yeare above written Constitute make and ordayne this my last will & testament in maner and forme followeinge That is to saye

First of all I give my soule to allmightye God my maker and preserver hopeinge to bee saved and redeemed by the merite and mercyes of Jesus Christ who died for my sinnes and rose again for my Justificacon and I give my Bodye to the earth from whence it came Desireinge that it maye bee buried in the Church yearde of Hicklinge aforesaid

Item I give and bequeath to the poore of Hicklinge ten shillinges to bee … as my executrix pleaseth

Item I give and bequeath to Richard Beebee of Basford my kinsman the money which is in hand that Richard Robinson and John Collishawe oweth mee

Item I give and bequeath to my kinsman John Beebee of Codgrave the money which Thomas Mussen and George Jeson oweth to me in bondes

Item I give and bequeath to my sister Burd of Codgrave the money that John Smith of Codgrave oweth to mee in a bond that is five pounde

Item I give and bequeath to Easter Houlton my God Daughter that mesne which Edward Houlton her father oweth me

Item I give and bequeath to Ann Coates my god Daughter two shillinges sixe pence

Item I give and bequeath to Ann Maxwell my god Daughter two shillinges sixe pence

Item I give and bequeath to Thomas Greasley my god sonne two shillinges sixe pence

Item I give and bequeath to Jane Caunt my god Daughter two shillinges six pence

Item I give to William Caunt my Grandchilde the monye that George Man oweth to me which ten pounds in a bond

Item I give unto George Caunt & his wife my house with the appurtenances thereto belonging … of John Strange to them and to there heires & assignes for ever

Item I give & bequeath to John Beebee of Codgrave five poundes more besides the ten poundes which I have given before to him

Item I give to Richard Beebee of Basford five poundes more besides that sixtye poundes which I have given to him before

Item I give to foure shepherds that doth carrie my corps to church tweilfe pence apeece

Item I give to the ringers five shillinges

Item I give five penye … to everye one in the towne

All the rest of my goodes unbequeathed I give & bequeath to my loveinge kinsman George Caunt whome I doe make ordaine and Constitute & appointe executrix of this my last will & testament & hereby I alsoe apointe Richard Robinson & Thomas Dafte overseers of this will and In wittenes whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale the daye and yeare above written
