John Barnard of Long Clawson 1808 will

This if the Last Will and Testament of me John Barnard of Claxton otherwise Long Clawson in the County of Leicester Yeoman as follows

I Give and devise All my Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever situate standing lying and being in Claxton otherwise Long Clawson aforesaid and now in my own possession unto my dear and loving wife Margaret Barnard and her Assigns for and during the term of her natural life and from and immediately after her decease I Give and devise All my said Messuages Lands Tenements Hereditaments and Real Estate unto all and every my Child and Children as well those now born as hereafter after to be born and to their respective heirs and assigns for ever to be equally divided between or among them and to take and enjoy the same as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants And in case one or more of my said Children shall happen to die before she he or they shall attain to her his or their Age or respective Ages of Twenty one years without Issue of her his or their Body or Bodies lawfully begotten Then I Give and devise the share or shares of the said premises of her him or them so dying under the age of Twenty one years and without Issue as aforesaid unto the Survivors or Survivor of my said Children and to their respective heirs and Assigns for ever to be equally divided between or among them (if more than one) in equal shares and to take and enjoy the same as Tenants in Common and not as joint Tenants

And Lastly All my Household Goods other Goods Stock Cattle Chattels Rights Credits ready money and Securities for Money and all other my Personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever I Give and bequeath unto my said Wife Margaret Barnard whom I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint sole Executrix of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made

In Witness whereof I the said John Barnard the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventh day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety five

Signed sealed published and declared by the said John Barnard the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other set our hands as Witnesses to the due Execution thereof
