A tiny piece all along the right-hand side of this will is damaged, although normally so narrow that no word, or only a part of a word, is missing

In the 5th year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second By the Grace of God King of great Britain, France and Ireland &C I Ellin Awood of Scalford in the County of Leicester Widdow being Weak in body and Aged in years but of sound and perfect Memory (praised be given to God for the same) and knowing the uncertainty of this life on Earth and being desirous to settle things in Order I do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following That is to say

First and principally I commend my Soul to almighty God my Creator assuredly believing that I shall receive full pardon and free remission of all my Sins, and be saved by the precious death and Merits of my blessed Saviour and Redeemer Christ Jesus and my Body to the Earth from whence it was taken to be buried in such decent and Christian manner as to my executors hereafter named shall be thought meet and Convenient

And as touching Such worldly Estate as the Lord in mercy hath lent me, my Will and meaning is the same shall be employed and bestowed as hereafter by this my Will is expressed

And first I do revoke, renounce, frustrate and make void all Wills and Testaments by me formerly made and declare and appoint this my last Will and Testament

Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Awood the sum of Ten Pounds of Good and Lawfull Money of Great Britain to be paid to her within one year after my Decease But if my Daughter Elizabeth should happen to Die before the term of time of one year after my Decease then my Will and mind is that my Daughter Ellin Awood and my Grand Daughter Ellin Willborn Shall Have the sd sum of Tenn pounds given and equally Divided betwixt them

Item I Give to my Daughter Ellin Awood the sum of Ten Pounds of Good and Lawfull money of Great Brittain to be paid to her within one year after my Decease But if my Daughter Ellin should Die before the terme of time of one year after my Death then my Will and Mind is that my Daughter Elizabeth Awood and Grand Daughter Ellin Willborn shall have the said sum of Tenn pounds given and equally Divided betwixt them

Item I Give to my Son in Law Daniel Jenkinson two Guinies

Item I give to my Grand Son Mark Jenkinson Two Guines

Item I Give to my Grand son Thomas Willburn the sum of Two Gunies

Item I give to my Grand Daughter Ellin Willbourn the sum of five Guines

All which said Legusies and sums of Monies is to be paid within one year after my Decease

Item all the rest of my Goods Chattels and Cattel My Debts and Funeral Charges being first paid and Discharged I Give to my Three Daughters Elizabeth Awood Ann Jenkinson and Ellin Awood to be equally Divided Amongst them and My Desire is that my Son in Lawe Daniel Jenkinson and my Grandson Thomas Wilborn be Trusties to Assist my Executors in doing and performing my said Will and I make and ordain Elizabeth Awood and Ellin Awood My Loving Daughters Executors of this my last Will and Testament
