Katharine Awood of Scalford 1662 Will

Be it known unto all men by these presents That I Katharine Awood of Scalford in the Countye of Leicester Widdow for & in Consideration Thomas Awood my Son shall maintaine & provide for mee his mother meate drinke apparell fire & lodging, & all other things necessary for mee during the terme of my naturall life, give graunt bargaine & sell unto the sd Thomas Awood his heires & assignes for ever All & all maner of goods cattells & chattels quick or dead of what nature or qualitye soever the same shalbee or by what right soever to mee appertaining together with the fourty pounds which is to bee payed mee by my son Stephen Awood, to have & to hold all the sd goods Cattells & Chattells together with the sd fourty pounds unto the sd Thomas Awood his heires & Assignes under the Condicon above specified in as large & ample maner as I the sd Katherine Awood may or might have had & enjoyed the same

In witnesse whereof I have hereunto put my hand & seale the nine & twentieth day of May in the yeare of our Ld 1656
