Ann Austin of Ab Kettleby 1728 Will and Inventory

In the name of God Amen I Ann Austin of Abketleby in the County of Leic Widdowe of Thomas Austin late of Grimston in the saide County of Leic yeoman deceased being of sound mind memory and understanding do make and ordaine this my Last will and Testament in manner following

Imprimis I give and devise unto Maurice Kemm of Shoby in the said County of Leicester gent and William Freck of Abketleby aforesaid yeoman and to the Survivor of them and to the heires and assigns of such survivor all that my capitall Messuage or Tenement with the appurtanances in Abketleby aforesaide and alsoe all thos several peices and parcells of Errable Lands Leys Medow pastures grass Ground Lying dispersedly in the open and common feild of Abketleby aforesaid containing by Estimation one yard Land or there abouts be the same more or Less and allso all other my Lands Tenements and hereditaments in Abketleby aforesaid or elsewhere in the Kingdome of Grate Brittaine to hold to the saide Maurice Kemm and William Freck and the survivor of them and to the heirs of such survivor In trust and confidence that they the said Maurice Kemm and William Freck or the survivor of them do and shall within Twelve Callender Months next after my decease sell and dispose of all my Lands the free holds and in the [word missing] and use of Tenements hereinbefore particularly Mentioned and allso all other my Lands and Tenements for the best price that can be had for the same and the money Raised by sale thereof to dispose In manner Following

Item I give to my sister Jane Humberston Twenty shillings to be paid her Respectively within one Month after the Land is sold and paid for by the said Maurice Kemm and William Freck

Item I give to James Humberston William Humberston Jane Humbertson Sons and Daughter of James Humberston of Abketleby aforesaid ten pounds appeice to be paid to them in maner aforesaid

Item I give to my sister Ruth Blankley Twenty shillings to be paid to her in maner aforesaid

Item I give to Ruth Blankley Daughter of John Blankley of Abketleby Ten pounds to be paid her in maner as aforesaid

Item I give to Mary Dexter the wife of Matthew Dexter of Langer Ten pounds to be paid her in maner as aforesaid

Item I give to Thomas Moore and William Moore and Jane Moore Sons and Daughter of John Moore of Abketleby aforesaid by Elizabeth his wife ten pounds a peice to be paide to them in maner as aforesaid

Item I give to Nicholas Moore son of the said John Moore aforesaide by Elizabeth his wife forty pounds to be paid to him in maner as aforesaide and I give him one bedsted and beding two cheers and a Little Table and a chest

Item I give to Ann Moore Daughter of John Moore aforesaide by Elizabeth his wife forty pounds to be paid to her in maner as aforesaide I give her my bed that I ly on and the beding thereunto belonging and all my Lining and all my brass and puter and all the rest of my housold goods

Item I give to Elizabeth Wood of Sutton Bunington my sister in Law forty shillings to be paid to her in manner as aforesaide

Item I give to my cosen John Steevens and his wife either of them a ring of a ginney price a peece to be paid to them as maner aforesaide

Item I give to my cosen Maurice Kemm and his wife Each of them a Ring of a ginney price a peece to be paid to them as in maner aforesaid

Item I give to my cosen Winefred Scampon and my God Daughter Alice Steevens each of them a Ring of a ginney price a peece to be paid to them as the maner aforesaid

Item I give unto the poore of Grimston aforesaide Twenty shillings to be paid to them as in maner aforesaide

Item I give to the poore of Abketleby Twenty shillings to be paid to them as in maner aforesaide

Item I give to Maurice Kemm and William Freck aforesaid my Trustees the sume of five pound a peece for there trouble and care

All the rest and Ressidue of my Reall and personall Estate not herein or hereby disposed of I give and devize to my sister Moore wife of John Moore of Abketleby aforesaid whom I doe Appoint my Sole Executrix of this my will and Testament and declare it to be my Last and I hereby desire my said Trustees to take care that the Legacies herein before given and bequeathed be punctually paid and disposed of as I have herein before ordered and directed and my will is that my Executrix shall take care to bury me in Christian buriall after a descent maner
