This is the last Will and Testament of me William Alderman of Stathern in the County of Leicester Farmer

I Give and devise unto William Shipman of Harby in the said County Farmer his heirs and assigns All my real Estate situate at Harby aforesaid consisting of three Closes of land containing ten acres or thereabouts as the same are now occupied by Samuel Bramley and George Hardy at the yearly rent of Thirty pounds Upon Trust that he or they shall as soon as conveniently may be after my decease sell the same and after payment of all expenses attending the sale and any Mortgage that may be existing thereon at the time of my decease divide the money arising from such sale between my five children William, Joseph, George, Ann the Wife of Otho Hitchcock and John their executors and administrators as Tenants in common

I Give and devise unto my Son Edward his heirs and assigns All that piece of ground now used as an orchard containing three roods or thereabouts with the blacksmiths Shop standing thereon situate in Stathern aforesaid Upon this express condition that he discharges the principal sum of Fifty pounds and interest due thereon to Mr John Wells of Scalford And also pays to my Executor the sum of Fifty pounds within six Months after my decease to be applied by him as part of my personal Estate

I Give and bequeath all my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever (subject to the payment of my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses) unto my said five children William, Joseph, George, Ann and John their executors and administrators as Tenants in common

And I appoint the said William Shipman Sole Executor of this my Will

In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this ninth day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty five

Proved at Leicester the fourth day of June 1866 by the oath of William Shipman the sole Executor to whom Administration was granted

The Testator William Alderman was late of Stathern in the county of Leicester Farmer and died on the Fifteenth day of Mary 1866 at Stathern aforesaid
