In the name of God Amen I Joseph Alderman of Stathern in the county of Leicester shoemaker being sick aing weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner and form following
I give and bequeath to Elizabeth my dearly beloved Wife all my personal Estate household goods Debts and moveable effects of what kind soever whom I make and ordain my sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament requiring her to pay all my just debts and funeral expences
As witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty four

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Joseph Alderman as his last Will and testaments in the presence of us

On the fifth day of July 1784 Elizabeth Alderman Widow the sole Executrix named in the within written Will was sworn to the due execution hereof and at the same time made oath that all the Testator’s personal estate at the time of his death was not worth Twenty pounds
