William Adcock of Eaton 1756 Will

In the Name of God Amen I William Adcock of Eaton in the County of Leicester Mason being weak of Body but of perfect Mind & Memory praised be Allmighty God therefore do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in Manner & Form following that is to say
First of All I give & bequeath my Soul into the Hands of God that gave it Hoping thro’ the Death & Passion of Jesus Christ my Saviour to be joyfully rec’d at my Resurrection and as for my Body to be decently buried in the Parish Church or Churchyard of Scalford in the said County of Leicester aforesaid and as for my Temporal & worldly Estate Cattles Chattles & personal Estate whatsoever I give and dispose of in the following Manner
First of all I give and bequeath to my Son Henry all my Cloaths & wearing Apparel and working Tools and I also give to my Eldest Son Henry the sum of twenty Shillings per Annum during the Term of my [sic] natural Life to be paid at two equal payments by my Son William
My Debts my Legacies my Funeral Expences being First duely paid and discharg’d then all the rest of my Goods Cattles Chattles and personal Estate unbequeath’d I give and bequeath to my younger Son William making & ordaining him Full Sole & only Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby utterly revoking and disanulling all Former wills in any wise made by me
In Witness whereof The Testator hath set his Hand & Seal this 18th Day of July 1753
NB I give & bequeath to my Daughter Anne Rimington one Bedstead and Coffer in the Parlour and one little pottage pot pan and also the great pan I give to Violet Wartnaby

On Friday the 30th day of April 1756 William Adcock the within mentioned Sole Executor made Oath that all William Adcocks personal Estate of Eaton in the County of Leicester Masone & his late Father Deceased at the time of his Death was not worth five pounds & was Sworn before us
