John Adams of Wycomb 1779 Will

This is the last Will and Testament of me John Adams of Wykeham in the County of Leicester Grazier

First I will that all my just debts and Funeral expences be paid and discharged

I give and devise unto my Son John Adams all those my two Messuages or Tenements with three small pieces or parcels of Land Inclosed containing by Estimation three Acres or thereabouts all which premises are Situate and being at Wartnaby in the said County of Leicester and now or late in the several possessions of Occupations of the Reverend John Cant Clerk his undertenants or Assigns with all and every their Appurtenances when he attains his full Age of twenty one years

I give and bequeath unto my Son Thomas Adams the Sum of Twenty Pounds to be paid him when he attains his full age of twenty one years

I also give and devise unto my said Son Thomas Adams all that my Messuage or Tenement with the Yard Garden and premises and also all that piece or parcel of Ground Inclosed containing by Estimation one Acre and half or thereabouts Situate and being at Nether Broughton in the said County of Leicester when he attains his full Age of twenty one years

I give and bequeath unto my Son William Adams the sum of thirty Pounds to be paid him when he attains his full Age of twenty one years

I also give and devise unto my said Son William Adams all that my Messuage or Tenement with the Malthouse Yard Garden and premises Situate and being at Hickling in the County of Nottingham when he attains his full Age of twenty one years

I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Adams the sum of one Hundred and twenty Pounds to be paid her when she attains her full Age of twenty one years

And further if any one or more of my said Children die before he she or they attain the full Age of twenty one years then my Will is that his her or their share or shares to him her or them bequeath’d or devised shall be divided among the survivors share and share alike

All the rest residue and remainder of my Goods, Chattels and personal Estate be they of what Nature or kind soever I give and bequeath unto my Loving wife Frances Adams whom I also Nominate Constitute and Appoint full and Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time made and this only to be my last Will and Testament

In Witness whereof I the said John Adams the Testator have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this eighth day of September one thousand seven Hundred and seventy nine
