Robert Jackson of Nether Broughton 1805 Will

In the name of God Amen I Robert Jackson of Nether Broughton in the County of Leicester Blacksmith being of a well disposing Mind Memory and Understanding praised be Almighty God for the same Do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and Form following (that is to say)

First I Give and Devise to my Dear and Loving Wife Ann Jackson All my Messuages Cottages Closes Lands Tenements and Hereditaments with their and every of their Rights Members and Appurtenances in Nether Broughton aforesaid To hold unto her my said Wife Ann Jackson during the Term of her natural Life and from and after her Decease I then Give and Devise to my Kinsman Henry Mann (Son of Henry Mann of Nether Broughton aforesaid) All that my Messuage Cottage or Tenement which I now dwell in Together with the Outhouses and Home Close thereunto adjoining and belonging situate standing lying and being in Nether Broughton aforesaid

Also I Give and Devise to my said Kinsman Henry Mann all that Piece or Parcell of Land called Little Flax Lea which I lately purchased of James Barnes in Nether Broughton aforesaid and now in my own Tenure containing by Estimation three Roods (be the same more or less) situate in Nether Broughton aforesaid

All which said Premises hereinbefore devised I give to my said Kinsman Henry Mann and to hold unto him my said Kinsman Henry Mann and his Heirs forever

And also I Give and Devise to my Kinswoman Ann Gilbert the now wife of Thomas Gilbert of Thrussington in the said County of Leicester All that Piece or Parcell of Land called Great Flax lea in Nether Broughton aforesaid and now in my own Tenure containing by Estimation Two Acres one Rood and twenty Perches (be the same more of less) which said Piece or Parcell of Land herein last Devised I give to my said Kinswoman Ann Gilbert and to hold unto her my said Kinswoman Ann Gilbert and her Heirs forever

And lastly all my Goods Chattles and Effects Personal Estate of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever the same is or are I Give and Bequeath to my Wife Ann Jackson whom I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint whole and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament revoking all former and other Wills by me at any Time heretofore made she paying my just Debts and Funeral Expences

In Witness whereof I the said Testator Robert Jackson have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and Seal this ninth day of January in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety two

Signed Sealed Published and Declared by the said Testator Robert Jackson as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have Subscribed our Names as Witnesses hereto in the presence of each other and at the request of the said Testator

The two Words (one Rood) was duly made before the Testator Signed the same

Let probat be granted to Ann Jackson sole Executor of the within written will she being sworn to the due execution thereof & also made oath that the whole of the personal estate of the Testator at the time of his death did not amount to the sum of twenty pounds
