Richard Goodson of Hose 1772 Will

In the Name of God Amen The Twentieth Day October 1760 I Richard Goodson of Hose in The County Leicester Farmer being Sick and Weak in Body but of Perfect Mind and Memory Thanks be to God therefor Calling unto mind The Mortality of my Body and knowing That it is Appointed for all men Once to Die Do make and Ordain this my Last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I Give and Recommend my soul into the Hand of Almighty God that gave it and my Body I recommend to the Earth to be Buried in a Decent Burial at the Discretion of my Executors And as Touching Such Worldly Estate therewith [sic] it Hath Pleased God to Bless me in this Life I Give and Demise and Dispose of the same in the manner and form following

Imprimis I give unto my Son John Goodson The Three Lands in Each field Lying in the field of Hose Which I Bought of Robert Marratt of Long Clawson When he attains to the Age of Twenty One Years I give to him and His Heirs for Ever if he has Any but if he Dies before he Comes to Age it is to go Equally Amongst his Sisters or the Survivors of them

Also I give unto my Eldest Daughter Mary Goodson the sum of Ten Pounds to be paid by my Executors When she Attains to the Age of Twenty One Years

Also I give unto my Daughter Elizabeth Goodson The sum of Ten Pound to be paid by my Executors when she shall Attain to the Age of Twenty One years

Also I give unto my Daughter Ruth Goodson the sum of Ten pounds to be paid by my Executors when she shall Attain to the Age of Twenty Years and my further will and Desire is that if any of my Children Dies Before they Come to the Age of Twenty one that there portion shall go to the Survivors of them Share & Share a like

And my further will and Desire is These said Children shall have a Sufficient maintenance by my Executors till they shall Come to the Age of Twenty one

Also my Son Richard Goodson and my Dearly Beloved Wife Elizabeth Goodson I make my Whole and Sole Executors of all my Goods and Cattles and Chattles Belonging me and I Do utterly revoke Disanul and Disallow all and former Bequest Wills and Legacies by me Heretofore in any wise Left or made Declaring Ratifying and Confirming this and no Other to be my Last will and Testament
