In the name of god Amen the 28 day of September 1691 according to the Computation of the Church of England I Mathew Barke of Stathorne in the County of Leicester husbandman being in perfect Memory and remembrance praised be god doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme following viz
First I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my maker hopeing that through the Meritorious death and passion of Jesus Christ my only Saviour and Redeemer hoping to receve free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and as for my body to be buried in the Churchyard of Stathorne
Item I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Barke the sum of fifty pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paide when shee shall accomplish the age of foure and Twenty yeares and five pounds worth in houshold goods at her mothers decease
Item All the rest of my Goods whatsoever I give unto Susan my wife and to my Son John Barke upon Condition that they shall paye all my Debts and Legacies and make them full executors of this my last will and testament
