In the name of God Amen I Zachary Walpoole of Scealford in the County of Leic Husbandman beinge weake in body but of perfect memory and understanding praised be God therefore doe make and ordaine this my Last Will and Testament in manner and forme Following

First I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my maker hopeing through the merritts of his sonne Jesus Christ who dyed for us to bee partaker of life eternall

My body I bequeath unto the earth from whence it was taken decently to bee interred at the discrecon of my Executor

And for that worldly estate which God hath lent mee I dispose of it thus

First I give and bequeath unto my daughter Anne now married to James Hodgkin of Melton Chandler all that Messuage house and Meadow pasture comon of pasture Orchard Homestead with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging in the Towne or Feilds of Scalford aforesaid which I purchased of Mr Henry Darker To have and To hould during the term of her naturall life And after her decease I give and bequeath the same to William the eldest sonne of my said Daughter and to his heirs for ever and in case hee dyes without yssue then to the right heires of the said James Hodgkin lawfully begotten of the body of my said Daughter

Alsoe I give and bequeath unto the two daughters of the said Anne twenty pounds a peice to bee put forth for their use within one yeare next after my decease

Alsoe I give & bequeath unto my brother Joseph Walpoole of Market Overton three pounds of good and lawfull money of England and to each of his Children tenne shillings apeece and all this to bee paid within one yeare after my decease

Alsoe to the poore of Scalford tenne shillings

Alsoe I make my said sonne Law James Hodgkin full and sole Executor of this my last Will & Testament To whom I give and bequeath all the rest of my estate goods chattells cattle bills bonds debts dues and Demands whatsoever desiring him in all things to see it performed

In wittnes hereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale the fourth day of August in the yeare of our Lord 1658

This will was proved att London the Fifth day of September in the yeare of our Lord God one thousand six hundred fifty nine before the Judges for probate of Wills and graunting Administracons Lawfully authorized by the oath of James Hodgkin the sonne in Law of the said Deceased and Sole Executor named in the said Will To whom Administracon of all and singuler the goods Chattells and debts of the said Deceased was graunted and Comitted He being First sworne by Comission truely to Administer the same according to the tenor and effect of the said Will
