This is the last Will and Testament of me Ann Smart of Scalford in the County of Leicester Widow

In the first place, I will that all my just debts, and funeral expences be paid and discharged

I give and devise unto my Brother William Marriott all that my Messuage or Tenement, Garden, Fold yard, Outbuildings, and premises, situate and being at Ab Kettleby in the County of Leicester (now or late in the Tenure or Occupation of Amos Tuckwood, or his Assigns) to him and his Heirs for ever

I give & bequeath unto my Kinsman Thomas Smart the sum of ten Pounds

I give & bequeath unto my Kinsman William Smart the sum of five Pounds

I give & bequeath unto John Granger the sum of five Pounds

I give and bequeath unto the surviving Children of Amos Tuckwood aforesaid the sum of five Pounds to be equally divided amongst them

I give and bequeath unto my Brother Thomas Marriott of Hose the sum of five Pounds

I give and bequeath unto my Sister Elizabeth Glover the sum of one Pound

I give and bequeath unto my Sister Rebecca Weston of Sproxton the sum of one Pound, with my best Quilt, best Gown and best Stays

And I do hereby Charge all my real and personal Estates with the payment of all and singular the above Legacies

The remainder of my Wearing Apparel I will shall be equally divided amongst the Daughters of Thomas Marriott, William Marriott, and Rebecca Weston aforesaid share and share alike

All the rest, residue, and remainder of my Goods, Chattels and personal Estate whatsoever, and wheresoever, I give and bequeath unto my Brother William Marriott aforesaid whom I also appoint full, and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, revoking all former Wills by me at any time made, and this only to be my last Will and Testament

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand, and Seal, this fourth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand, seven hundred, and eighty five
