John Williams of Hose 1762 Will

In the Name of God Amen the 25th day of November 1761 I John Williams of Hose in the County of Leicester Husbandman Being sick and Weak in Body But of perfect Mind and Memory thanks be Given unto God Therefore Calling unto Mind the Mortality of my Body and Knowing that it is Appointed for all Men once to Die do make and Ordain this My Last Will and Testament that is to say

Principally and first of all I Give and recommend my soul into the Hands of Allmighty God that Gave it And my Body I recommend to the Earth to be Buried in Decent Christian Burial At the Discretion of my Executors Nothing Doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the Mighty power of God and as touching such Worldly Estate Wherewith it hath pleased God to Bless me in this Life I give Demise and Dispose of the same in the following Manner and Form

Imprimis I give unto my Daughter Mary Peil the wife of John Peil of Harby the sum of three pounds to be paid to Her or Her heirs twelve months after my Decease by my Executrix Here after Mentioned

Item I give unto my Grandson John Williams two pounds to be paid by My Executrix when he attains to the age of twenty one

Item I give unto my Grandson James Williams two pounds to be paid Him by My Executrix when he attains to the age of twenty one

Item I give unto my Granddaughter Elizabeth Williams the sum of two pounds To be paid her by My Executrix when she attains to the age of twenty one

Item I give unto my Daughter in Law Phil Williams the sum of one shillings to be paid her twelve months after my Decease

Item I give unto my Son James Williams my House and Close Being in the Liberties of Hose to him and his Heirs for Ever

Item I give unto my Well Beloved Wife Mary Williams and my Well Beloved Son James Williams Whom I Constitute and ordain my Sole Executrix of this my Last will and Testament all and Singular my Lands Messuages and tenements Goods Cattle and Chattells to be by them freely Possessed and Enjoyed and I do Hereby utterly Disalow revoke and Disanul all and Every other former testaments Wills Legacies and bequests by me in any ways before Named ratifying and Confirming this and no other To be my Last Will and testament
