In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Wilford of Stathern in the County of Leicester Flaxdresser being of Sound and perfect Mind and Understanding Do this one and thirtieth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and fifty six Make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in Manner following (that is to say)

First I give and bequeath unto my brother in law Andrew Guy and my Nephew Edward Wilford of Harby the sum of three hundred pounds In trust for the use and benefit of my three daughters Sarah Mary and Anne Wilford to be paid to them when and as they shall attain their respective ages of one and twenty years And in the Mean time I will that the said Andrew Guy and Edward Wilford Shall place the same out at interest and the Interest and proceeds thereof shall from time to time pay and apply Unto and towards the maintenance and education of my said three daughters Untill shall attain their said ages of one and twenty years and if any of them shall dye before they attain their said ages I will that the share of such of them so dying shall go and be paid to the Survivours of them

And I further Will and direct that my executor shall out of personal Estate with the Interest of the said three hundred pounds find and provide for my said three Daughters sufficient meat drink washing apparell of all sorts lodging Education and other necessaries Suitable and Convenient for them Untill they shall attain their ages of one and twenty years

But if the Said Andrew Guy and Edward Wilford shall find it expedient not to let my said three Children live and inhabit with my Executor Then I will and Do hereby order and direct my said Executor to pay into the hands of the Said Andrew Guy and Edward Wilford the yearly Sum of Six pounds which together with the Interest of the Said three hundred pounds I expect Will bring up my Said three Children Yearly Untill they arrive to their ages of one and twenty years

And I further will that if my Executor shall Yearly pay the Said Six pounds that the same shall free him from keeping my Said Children otherwise

Also I give unto my Son Andrew Wilford one Shilling

Also I give and devise all that my freehold oxgang of Land with the appurtenances in Stathern aforesaid Unto my Son Thomas Wilford and his heires yet if my personal Estate shall fall short of paying my Debts Legacies and funeral expences Then I will that my said Freehold oxgang of Land shall be Sold by my said Son Thomas Wilford and his heires and the Money arising by Sale thereby shall be assets in the hands of my Executor to pay my Just Debts and Legacies

Also all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Cattle Chattles and personal Estate of what nature kind or quality soever the same is my debts Legacies and funeral expences being first paid and discharged thereout I give and bequeath the same unto my son Thomas Wilford whom make full and Sole executor of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by made declaring this to be My last Will and testament

In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Wilford the Testator have hereunto set my hand and Seale the day and year first above written
