In the name of god amen I Jane Sills of Statherne in the countie of Leicester Widdow being of a perfect and disposing memorie (thanks be given to god therefore) doe make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme following (videlt)
First I comend and resigne my Soule into the hands of Almightie god my maker and creator and my bodie to the earth of which it was made and to [“be” missing] buried in the churche yarde of Statherne aforesaid with an assure confidence of a joyfull resurrection at the last day And for the temporall estate wherewith it hath pleased god to blesse mee with I devise and dispose of as hereafter is expressed
Item I Give unto the poore of Statherne aforesaid tenne pounds
It unto George Dixon the Sonne of my brother John Dixon two pounds
Itm to my cozen Elizabeth Dixon two pounds
Itm unto my cozens Francis Dixon and Bridgett Dixon and Ann Dixon fortie Shillings to each of them
Item to my brother Richard Guy twentie shillings
Itm unto John Blankley the Sonne of my brother [forename missing] Blankley fortie shillings
Itm unto by brother Gibbons his two children fortie shillings to each of them
Itm to my brother Andrew Guy his Daughter fortie shillings
Item to my cozen Francis Marriott five pounds
Itm to Jane Dixon my cozen five pounds
Itm to my cozen George Burstall his now wife my cozen Aaron Pratt his now wife and to my cozen Elizabeth Mariott to each of them fortie shillings
Itm my cozens John Marriott Richard Marriott and Stephen Marriot to each of them fortie shillings
All which above Devised legacies shalbe paied by my executor hereafter named to the severall legatees above named within one whole yeare next after my decease
Item I give unto my sister Ann Sills widdow her three Daughters to each of them three pounds and to her sonne twenty shillings to be paied unto them when my executor shall have received twentie pounds of the executor or administrator of John Sills which is due and payable unto mee as by a bond or obligation bearing date the first Daye of Aprill in Anno Dni 1654 of the sume of fortie pounds conditioned for the payment of twentie pounds as by the saied obligation may appeare
I give unto six of the youngest children of James Walker to each of them ten shillings to be paied as is last above limited and expressed
Itm I give unto the fower children of Hugh Walker to each of them tenn shillings
Itm I give unto the two children of my brother Robert Sills three pounds
Itm I give unto my brother Henrie Sills his daughters twentie shillings
Itm I give unto my sister Shipman and to the youngest daughter of my brother John Sills to each of them ten shillings to be payed unto them severall last above recited legatees as is alsoe last above limited and expressed
The rest of my goods and chattells unbequeathed my debts legacies and funerall expences being discharged I give and bequeath unto my welbeloved brother George Dixon whom I make my Sole executor of this my last will and testament
In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand the 28 daye of June in the year of our Lord god one thousand six hundred sixtie and fower
