George Browne of Nether Broughton 1684 Will and Inventory

For as much as it is appointed unto all men once to dye I George Browne the Elder of Nether Broughton in the County of Leic Batchelar being weake in body but of sound and perfect memory doe make this my last will and testament in Mannor and forme following vizt

Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Brother John Browne the sume of twenty pounds to be paid by my executor within Six Months after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto my Sister Ales Lees the sum of ten pounds to be paid by my executor within three Months after my decease

Item I give and bequeath unto my kinswoman Deborah Wright the sum of ten pounds to be paid by my executor within three months after my decease

Item I give unto my Brother William Browne the sum of ten pounds to be paid by my executor within three Months after my decease

Item all the rest and residue of my goods Chattell Chattell [sic] personall estate Whatsoever I give and bequeath unto my Nephew William Browne the Son of my Brother William Browne the elder and I doe Make him my full and Sole Executor hereof and I doe hereby revoake all former Wills by me formerly made

In Wittness Whereof I have put my hand and seale this second day of March Anno Dom 1683 [1683/4]
