In the Name of God Amen I Edward Exton of Eaton in the County of Leicester Farmer and Grazier being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding thanks be given unto God, therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my Body, and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say

Principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God that gave it, and my Body I recommend to the earth, to be buried in decent Christian Burial at the discretion of my Executrix; nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection I shall receive the same again, by the mighty power of God

And as touching such worldly Estate and goods wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life, I give demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form: that is to say

I give and bequeath unto my Nephew John Exton of Eastwell in the county of Leicester the sum of Ten pounds and unto his Two Sons John and Thomas Exton each of them five pounds, and unto my three Nieces Mary, Dorothy, and Anne Exton each of them five pounds

And I give to my dearly beloved Wife Elizabeth Exton whom I likewise constitute, make ordain my Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament all and singiler my moneys Securitys for moneys Goods chattles and persnal Estate of what Nature or kind Soever and wheresoever by her freely to be possessed and enjoyed for ever

And I do hereby utterly disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other formar Testaments, and Wills, by me before made; ratifying and confirming this and no other to my last Will and Testament

In wittness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 6th day of September in the year of our Lord 1777
